Early Monday morning, our Year 6 boys set off on their residential adventure. They arrived at the Thames Young Mariners camp and were quick to buddy up with their new roommates in their teepee tents! After a delicious lunch they had a tour of their new 25 acre living space. Straight after their tour the boys enjoyed practicing their aim and accuracy in target archery followed by some bush craft survival skills!

Further activity packed days followed which included some water based sports! The boys set sail on their canoe boats mastering balance and coordination. There were some team bonding exercises which involved designing, building and sailing on their own rafts! Mr Evans and Miss Johnson were so impressed by the boys’ problem solving skills. The boy’s navigation and coordination skills were then put to the test with some orienteering activities.

After an adventure filled week full of opportunities and making memories, the boys returned to school ready for a restful weekend to gather their energy! Mr Evans and Miss Johnson were so impressed by the boys’ maturity and teamwork throughout the trip. Very well done, Year 6!
