This week has been an exciting week in Reception. We have been preparing in the last few weeks for our trip to St Alban’s Church in North Harrow to meet the vicar Rev Sarah Archer. We have learnt all about the features of churches and used ICT to create some beautiful stained glass windows. As the weather was dry we were able to walk to the church and spotted the cross on top of the tower from the end of the road. We had a fascinating time looking around the church and seeing the pews, altar, font and lectern to name but a few. We were even lucky enough to be able to light a candle whilst we thought about people who are special to us!

On Sunday it is Father’s Day and we have been busy all week writing about our dads and what they do with us, as we learn about verbs. We used ICT to help us create cards for them and wrote letters that we can give them on Sunday to share how special we think they are. We wish all the dads at school a very Happy Father’s Day from Reception class!
