On November 17th the boys took part in Children in Need. In preparation, Reception spent Thursday decorating cakes which had been made by the kitchen, as well as cooking their own Rice Krispie cakes in cooking club. Although the cakes smelt delicious, the boys managed to carefully wrap them all up, ready to be sold at the cake sale on Friday.
As the boys came to school on Friday they were dressed in their pyjamas! All the boys looked happy to be dressed all snuggly and warm, and so did the teachers. In assembly we watched a Children in Need video clip to show us how the money raised is used to help children who might need a bit of extra help in their lives. At the end of the day the school council and some extra volunteers took on the task of selling the cakes. I am pleased to announce that our mufti day and cake sale managed to raise a combined total of £351.27 to support Children in Need. I would like to say a huge thank you to all those involved for their donations and their time.
