Year 1 go on a ‘Farm to Fork’ trail

On Friday 12^th January, Year One went to Pinner Green Tesco to participate in a ‘Farm to Fork’ trail.  We had a great time being shown around the store by Helena.  She took us to the different areas of the store and talked about where different fruits, vegetables and flowers come from.  We tasted some cheese and olives in the deli, and bread and gingerbread men in the bakery.  At the fish counter we saw the ice machine and watched as a fish was filleted.  Jayden’s favourite thing was the corn bread, Rishi and Levin enjoyed tasting new food and Atharva appreciated the goody bag that we were allowed to bring home!  All in all it was an informative and interesting trip for Year One!
